Chain hoist 3 out of service
Chain hoist number 3 has been tagged out after the hook latch was found worn during the pre-rig inspection. It has been removed from the grid and sent for service. Do not use any hoist without a current tag and a pre-use inspection. Report untagged or damaged rigging hardware to the Production Manager immediately.

Working with Children Check renewals
Nine staff and freelancers have Working with Children Checks expiring before the end of the year, including crew on the school holiday workshops. Renew now and send your new details to the Operations and Finance Manager. Under the Child Safe Policy anyone without a current check will not be rostered to a children's activity.

Evacuation drill during Night Music technical rehearsal
An evacuation drill will run during the Night Music technical rehearsal on 15 September with staff seated as the audience. Wardens must be at their posts and the stage manager will use the evacuation script from the response card. Everyone in the building must take part. Results will be reviewed at the quarterly safety meeting.

Surface Tension opening and members' preview
Surface Tension, featuring six contemporary ceramic artists, opens on Friday 2 October at 6 pm with a members' preview at 5 pm. All staff are welcome. Gallery volunteers and front of house are needed from 4 pm. Please note the floor installation has an uneven surface and a sensory warning will be displayed.

Peer review sessions move to Wednesdays
From this week the design studio's peer review sessions move to Wednesdays at 10 am so that concepts can be reviewed before Thursday client presentations. Every job must be peer reviewed before a concept or final artwork leaves the building, as set out in the Design Job Procedure. Screen and gallery staff are welcome to bring work.
